JOB SUMMARY:

Wallowa Memorial Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. This position focuses on the planning, implementation and evaluation of skilled occupational therapy services across both pediatric and adult populations with an approximate 60% pediatric and 40% adult caseload.

The OT utilizes clinical expertise, creativity and available resources to develop individualized treatment plans that promote patient independence, function and quality of life.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluating patients and developing personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and physician direction
  • Providing therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities in daily living, motor skills and cognitive development
  • Collaborating with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care
  • Documenting patient progress, treatment modifications and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Supporting a balanced caseload of pediatric and adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques and home care strategies

Occupational Therapist - Job Description 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy educational program with a Master’s or Doctoral degree required
  • Current licensure from the Oregon Occupational Therapist Licensing Board required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations
  • Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks
