JOB SUMMARY:
Wallowa Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated patient care team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through every stage of treatment.
The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each patient's care plan, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes.
All nursing duties must be performed within the RN’s scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing patient conditions and creating individualized care plans

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

Monitoring and documenting patient responses and clinical progress

Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Educating patients and families on care plans, treatments and recovery

Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards

Responding promptly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition

Registered Nurse - Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Current Oregon RN license required

Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire
- ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications preferred or ability to obtain upon hire

ER and/or OB experience preferred, with a willingness to orient to both departments.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficient in the use of electronic health records and related computer systems
- Passion for working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations
- Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
- High School Diploma or equivalent
