JOB SUMMARY:
Wallowa Memorial Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position functions primarily in the delivery of skilled occupational therapy services, working under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
The COTA plays a key role in implementing individualized treatment plans, promoting patient independence and supporting recovery through purposeful and therapeutic activities. This role requires initiative, clinical skill and a collaborative mindset to ensure high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Include:

Delivering occupational therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the Occupational Therapist

Assisting patients in improving functional independence in areas such as self-care, mobility and daily living activities

Monitoring patient progress and communicating observations to the Occupational Therapist

Documenting treatments and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner

Collaborating with therapists, patients, families and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care

Utilizing all available resources to promote patient recovery and rehabilitation goals

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) educational program required

Current licensure from the Oregon Occupational Therapist Licensing Board required and must be maintained annually

Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations
- Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks
