JOB SUMMARY:
Wallowa Memorial Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA is responsible for administering therapeutic treatments in accordance with individualized patient care plans.
This role plays a key part in helping patients regain strength, mobility and independence, while maintaining a high standard of care and promoting a supportive healing environment.
Responsibilities Include:

Administering physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist

Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities and mobility training

Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to treatment

Communicating effectively with the Physical Therapist and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care

Educating patients and families on home exercises and safety strategies

Ensuring treatment areas and equipment are clean, safe and properly maintained

Physical Therapy Assistant – Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required

Current licensure to practice as a PTA in the State of Oregon required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Strong commitment to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a collaborative environment
- Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks
